How it works

Five steps. One happy Mum.

Akokor connects you with checked farms near your family in Ghana. You order from wherever you are; the farm delivers on your day and proves it.

1

Add who you’re sending to

Mum, Grandma, an uncle in Tamale — their name, phone, area and a landmark the rider can find. Save as many as you like.

2

See what reaches them

The shop filters to farms that deliver to their area. Every farm shows its checks: ID, farm photos, and a vet certificate for dressed chicken.

3

Live, killed or dressed

Choose the bird and how it should arrive, how many, and a gift note. Killed or dressed birds only go to farms in their own city, so they arrive fresh.

Pick a day and pay

Morning or afternoon, on the farm’s delivery days. Pay by card from abroad through Paystack — you see pounds, dollars or euros; you’re charged in cedis.

The farm delivers — with proof

The farm calls them first, then its rider brings it. They show the 4-digit code we texted them, and the rider takes a photo. You see both straight away.

Every week

Set it once, send it weekly.

Weekly orders charge your saved card three days before each delivery. Skip a week, pause, or end it in two taps. If the price moves more than 10%, we ask you first.

Questions, answered.

Who is Akokor for?

Anyone who wants to send fresh chicken or eggs to family in Ghana — most of our buyers live in the UK, US, Canada, Europe and the UAE. You order in the app; a checked farm near your family delivers.

How do I know it arrived?

The farm's rider photographs your family member with the order and enters the 4-digit code we text them. You see the photo in the app the moment it's delivered.

Which areas do you deliver to?

Accra (Central, East, West and North), Tema & Ashaiman, Kasoa, Kumasi, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Koforidua and Tamale. You only ever see farms that deliver to the person you're sending to.

Live or dressed?

Live birds can go anywhere a farm covers. Birds killed, dressed or cut only go to areas in the farm's own city, so they arrive fresh.

How do I pay from abroad?

By card through Paystack, a licensed payment provider. Prices show in pounds, dollars or euros as a guide; you're charged in cedis. People in Ghana can also pay with MoMo.

What if they're not home or there's a problem?

The farm calls them before setting off. If a delivery can't be made, you pick a new day. Report any problem within 48 hours with a photo and we'll put it right — refunds go back to your card or MoMo.

Can I send every week?

Yes. Set up a weekly order once and skip or pause any week. Your card is charged three days before each delivery, and we ask you first if the price moves more than 10%.

When can I download it?

The app is nearly ready for the App Store and Google Play. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it's live.
